Stay-Home-Mother…I’m still getting used to or trying to develop a a title for what my family role is. Yes, I stay at home and take care of my son and do the best I can at clearing the wreckage of said child after an entire day of play in our home. I don’t bring home a ton of bacon from a “job”, but I do try my best at helping maintain the family businesses and all of that good/boring stuff.
Let me tell you…I live an awesome life as a “stay-at-home-mother”. I have an awesome support system which will always come to my rescue if I ever ask or need it. I also have awesome moments where I absolutely do not feel like cooking, cleaning or both at the same time. I suppose the feeling is like when a runner has hit their wall after an exhausting trek. My mind races with thoughts of trying to chop vegetables with a toddler running around, begging for me to either feed him or pick him up. I like to get in the ZONE when I’m cooking, but my little boo is too cute of a distraction to get it all done in a timely fashion — That is my blockage. And then, if I even attempt to put together something as simple as tuna salad, it would turn out terrible. How could you even mess something like that up, right? *Points at myself* I’ve done it multiple times.
So, this is where Maggiano’s comes in CLUTCH for this momma. We used to live by The Domain (in Austin) and it was a short 2-minute drive to this little Italian eatery chain that I’ve come to appreciate oh-so-much just after a few visits. I once stopped by for lunch years ago and it was quite yummy…Then they offered a free take-home plate after I devoured my lunch — what an awesome surprise! And as of recently, my family and I have ordered takeout a couple times. The take-out person I spoke to for ordering and picking up shares the same name as me! Her name is Elaine also 😁 she is always super cheerful and sweet when we speak and see her in person.
Picking up takeout orders is a breeze. They have a little valet/drive through area to where you can easily step in to pick up your meals. Hubby always orders their lasagna ($15 for one portion and add a second portion for $5!) << And gets a second slice for leftover munching! I ordered their Famous Rigatoni D’s pasta which is soooo yummy! I was almost tempted to get it the last time we ordered dinner there but tried something different…Their Chicken Parmesan is also a party in my mouth. I must also mention my appreciation for their menu prices that complement the big portions and deliciously flavored food so well!
Thank you, Maggiano’s for saving my ass and feeding my family for days I don’t pull through — you guys seriously are CLUTCH when hungry, tired mothers like myself need you most. *Tears rolling down my cheek as I sit watching Netflix alone* Don’t judge me. This is the only time I get the TV for myself…When everyone is sound asleep! 😇
